Isn't the ICM of the blastocyst pluripotent, not totipotent? If the whole blastula includes the ICM the outside it can be (as a whole) considered totipotent. Shouldn't it read: "The blastocyst is formed of two layers of cells: the outside layer goes on to form the placenta, and the inner ball of pluripotent cells goes on to form the embryo." Any thoughts or corrections?

We need a picture of an actual blastocyst. The article at baby doesn't have a cross-section diagram labled eyes, nose, heart, ear, etc. Junulo (talk) 17:01, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
