Craig Mische was born in California but his father's job transfer moved the family to Alexandria, Minnesota when he was 2 years old. His formative years were spent in Alexandria. In school, Craig was an honor student, band member and he played for the Jefferson Senior High varsity tennis team starting in the 8th grade and the varsity hockey in the 9th grade. After graduating in 1987, Craig attended the University of St. Thomas and played 4 years of Varsity hockey for the nationally top-ranked St. Thomas hockey team. Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Marketing in 1992.
