Black & Decker DustBuster
Appearance
The Black & Decker DustBuster is a cordless vacuum cleaner that was introduced in January, 1979. It was designed by Carroll Gantz, FIDSA, when he was Manager of the B&D US Consumer Power Tool Division’s Industrial Design Department. It was developed by Black & Decker. Over a million Dustbusters were sold in its first year, four times that of the traditional hand-held vac market. As the name suggests, the device used suction power to pick up fine dirt, such as, pet hair, dust, etc. The product has been redesigned several times. However, The original DustBuster has been discontinued by Black & Decker.
