I was a member of the YSA, and there's not much about this article that is correct or useful. Unless one has access to The Militant starting in around 1957, it would be difficult to put together a history (www.themilitant.com doesn't have anything before 1995). The YSA also put out a publication called the Young Socialist for some years, and if i recall correctly, there was an article on the history of the group sometime in the early seventies. Two books I would recommend are Out Now: A Participant's Account of the Movement Against the Vietnam War by Fred Halstead, and Cuba and the Coming American Revolution by Jack Barnes, both available at www.pathfinderpress.com.
