Dottie Peoples is an American gospel singer.

Peoples was born in Dayton, Ohio and began singing at an early age. After completing high school, she was given the opportunity to tour with gospel pioneer Dorothy Norwood, a member of The Caravans. From there, Peoples briefly joined a jazz ensemble, performing in various venues across the country. Peoples soon realized that singing secular music was not what she was called to do; she relocated to Atlanta and returned to her gospel roots.

She recorded her debut album, Live At Salem Baptist Church, in 1993.
