Dana Telsey

Dana Telsey (born 1962) is an American consultant and financial analyst. Telsey has been ranked for 13-year and was the number one ranked analyst by Institutional Investor for seven years.[1]

Education and early career work

She is a 1984 graduate of Hobart-William Smith College and has an M.B.A. degree from Fordham University.[2] Telsey started at Barron Capital after her mother secured a secretary's position for mother's former neighbor, Ron Baron, while meeting him on the street. "Can you give Dana a job?"[3] Telsey was eventually promoted to Vice President of the Baron Asset Fund of Barron Capital.[4] Later, she was an analyst at CJ Lawrence [5] from 1991 to 1994.[6]

Bear Stearns and television career

She previously worked at Bear Stearns from 1994 to 2006 and was regularly interviewed by ABC, Wall Street Week, and NBC. She has been a guest analyst at CNBC and the "Today" show.[7][8] Prior to being a top rated analyst at Bear Stearns, she worked at CJ Lawrence and with Baron Asset Fund. She established the Telsey Advisory Group in 2006.
