Local to global justice

Local to Global Justice (L2GJ)

L2GJ was the title of the first teach-in held on Arizona State University's Tempe Campus, April 19th, 2002 and with the theme Knowledge, Networks and Action. Thereafter, Local to Global Justice became the name of the student organization.

Each year a L2GJ event has been organized to offer free to the public a wide range of choice topics including: Civil Rights, Non-Violent Participation, Environmental Justice, Unlearning Oppression, Prison Reform & Privatization, Human Rights and US Foreign Policy, Labor and Worker's Rights, Indigenous People's Rights, Equal Rights, Death Penalty, Globalization, Terrorism and Response, Border Issues/Immigration and Copwatch.

Besides the various workshops, the group of students, activists and organizers sponsors notable speakers like Starhawk, Ward Churchill, Rod Coronado, Jonathan Schell, Frances Moore Lappé, and Tom Hayden.
