Funeral in Berlin is a a spy novel by Len Deighton. It also is the second of three film's that follow the characters from the initial film, The Ipcress File; the third, Billion Dollar Brain, was silly in its approach to espionage. In the 1990s, Michael Caine returned to his Harry Palmer role in Bullet to Beijing and Midnight in St. Petersburg.

The subject of the novel Funeral in Berlin —arranging a Soviet scientist's defection—is dated, but the characters—Johnny Vulkan, Colonel Stok—remain memorable.

Oh Dear.
