Bulk box

A gaylord box is a standard size of cardboard box used by the packaging industry, initially produced by Gaylord Container Company of Gaylord, Michigan. A gaylord box is 48" x 40" x 36" (approx. 120 cm x 100 cm x 90 cm) and fits neatly on a standard shipping pallet.

Electronics recycling companies use Gaylord boxes to transport Universal Waste.

Plastics companies use Gaylord boxes to transport granulated plastic particles for moulding.

Gaylord boxes are commonly used for collecting paper to be recycled. Each box can hold around 1,500 pounds of paper, which is the equivalent of saving almost 13 trees. [1]
