Just a comment, the COI policy probably does need to be strengthened. Any high profile thing will get sorted out. But there are lots of people who are students or such of various other people for various reasons. Indeed the earning a doctorate consists almost entirely of fairly close mentoring relationships. You could easy find the number of positively biases articles about various people sky rocketing if more people started editing their mentor's article like you do. And, unlike your situation where the Register writes an article about it, almost no one will know or care. JeffBurdges (talk) 12:32, 8 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
