Founded in 1993, The Stephen Sondheim Society is very proud to have been instrumental in staging a concert production of Saturday Night and from there in persuading Mr Sondheim to allow it to be finally staged. This led to the world premiere of the show at The Bridewell Theatre (see [1].

The Society's patrons are Stephen Sondheim, Barbara Cook, David Kernan, Julia McKenzie, Millicent Martin and Stuart Pedlar. Ned Sherrin was a much-loved patron before his untimely death and is greatly missed.
