The Artist

Newton Estape Vila was born in Santa Clara, Villa Clara, Cuba, on May 2, 1913. He died in Havana. He develops the photographie but without any academic formation. He worked as journalist since 1937.

Collective Exhibitions

He was part of many collectives exhibitions, among them we can quote in 1946 the VII Salón Nacional, Club Fotográfico de Cuba (CFC), Havana. In 1948 he was included in the I International Saloon of Artistic Photographie, Photographic Club of Havana, Cuba.

Collections

His works can be found in relevant collections such as Colección de la Familia Escapé, Havana, Cuba. He wrote and directed the documentary "Si Me Dieran Otra Vida" in 1992.
