Valley of Alport

The Valley of Alport lies in the Hope Woodlands area of the Peak District. Formed by the River Alport which originates on Bleaklow in the area known as Grains-in-the-water and terminating where it joins the River Ashop by the Snake Pass.

The valley is one of the few in the Peak District with no public roads or car-park, and as a consequence it is a very quiet, tranquil and wild place.
