Josh Perry (born 4 February, 1981 in Newcastle, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. His position of choice is at prop forward. Perry previously played for the Newcastle Knights and has also represented New South Wales.

Perry was selected to represent New South Wales as a reserve for game I of the 2003 State of Origin series.[1] Perry was also selected for Country Origin in 2001, 2003 and 2004, scoring one try in the 2001 match.

In 2007, Perry was sacked from the Newcastle Knights after a series of poor performances. Like many Knights players, Perry failed to make an impact without the presence of the Knights great longtime halfback Andrew Johns, who retired in April 2007. Perry eventually signed for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles for the 2008 season on a three year contract.

In the second round of the 2008 NRL competition, Perry returned to the Knights home ground when Manly played Newcastle. With 5 minutes remaining in the match, Manly led 12-6 and had the game won until Perry gave away a penalty giving Newcastle possession. Soon after, Perry made another mistake by losing the ball after a heavy tackle from Knights Hooker Danny Buderus, which lead to a Newcastle try. Newcastle eventually won the game in Extra Time 13-12, much to the delight of the Newcastle fans who had grown tired of Perry's weak performances from 2004-2007.

This poor passage of play from Perry justified the Knights decision to release him after the 2007 season.
