V2 Records is a record label started in 1996 by Richard Branson four years after he sold Virgin Records to EMI. V2 has offices in UK, Germany, France, USA, Italy, Sweden, Benelux and Canada and is represented through licensees in 30 other territories. In 1996 the label acquired Junior Boys Own Records, Gee Street Records and Big Cat Records. V2 licenses many lables, such as Wichita, Luaka Bop, City Slang and Modular.

V2's artists include Stereophonics, Mercury Rev, The White Stripes, Grandaddy, Bloc Party, dEUS, The Cribs, and many others.

Malcolm Dunbar is the head of A&R. Circle Jerks lead singer Keith Morris is a manager in A&R.

V2 Records Ltd is a music company started in August 1995 by Mr John Pepper. The label was inspired by the V2 Rocket made in WW2. The company is run in England under the Company No. 03089458.
