ADS 16402 is a binary star system, composed of two sun-like stars. The two stars are separated by 1500 AUs. The star system is estimated at being 3.6 billion years old. ADS 16402B (aka HAT-P-1) is orbited by the enormous bloated gas planet HAT-P-1b.
