Eddie Brill

Eddie Brill is an American comedian, writer, and actor. He is also the warm-up comedian and talent coordinator of The Late Show with David Letterman. He tours frequently, performing in the US as well as England, Ireland, France, Australia, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong. He is also the humor consultant for Reader's Digest.

Biography

Eddie Brill originally intended to study math and science at MIT, however his stepfather's death when he was just a junior in high school made him reconsider his life's plans and he came to the conclusion that should pursue a more creative career.

Eddie Brill attended Emerson College, where he founded the Emerson Comedy Workshop along with Denis Leary, Chris Phillips and Adam Roth just to name a few. He also began performing standup while in college. He stopped after college in 1980 and then picked it back up in July of 1984 when he started a comedy club in NYC named The Paper Moon.

  • Eddie is a 3-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabaret and Clubs) Award Winner for Best Male Stand-up Comic in NYC.
  • In 2008, Eddie received the first ever Lifetime Achievement Award by ECNY. (The Emerging Comics of NY)
