Ten Thousand Fists is the opening track and fourth (and last) single off of the album of the same name by American Heavy metal/alternative metal band Disturbed. The single was released in 2006, one year after the album had been released.
Meaning
As put by Disturbed frontman David Draiman: "Meant to signify unity and strength, it is speaking to the believers: "You will remember the night you were struck by the sight of ten thousand fists in the air". Its meaning is "You should stand up for what you believe in."[1]
Other Uses
- Baseball player Ben Broussard used this song when he was at bat during the 2006 season as a member of the Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners.
- Featured on the EA Sports' Madden 06 soundtrack.
