Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) is an engineering college in Pune, India. It is affiliated to the University of Pune. It was established in 1984. The school is financed and run by the Bansilal Ramanath Agrawal Charitable Trust. Currently Mr. H. K. Abhyankar is the principal of the institute. The college is situated in the area of Bibwewadi in Pune.

To provide specialized education in the field of Information Technology, a sister institute, Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), was established in 2002. Courses offered here are Electronics engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication engineering, Computer engineering and Information Technology.

Placements

VIT is known for placements. The DOSD (Department Of Self Development) is the seperate department which controls all the recruitment process and trains students on various areas like aptitude, personality development, group discussions, wealth potential development, entrepreneurship development etc. They employ best practices to recruit fresh talent, entrepreneurship development, and self employment creation.

The DOSD program provides seminars to students for helping them to prepare for competitive exams like GRE, CAT etc.
