I finally created my fansite

Hey Phoenix. I know that I have not been around Wikipedia much lately, but I was working on other projects while I was away from the usual Wikipedia crap. I invite you to check out [1], and I will be submitting a Sonic podcast from that URL soon. User:Radman622 16:36, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

X Japan GA review

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I have been working on the X Japan article, in order to address the issues you listed in your review. Could you have a look and tell me what remains to be done? A note on the jrockrevolution.com-based citations: That source has been subject of debate earlier, given its affiliation with the band/its management, which makes it inherently biased and sure enough, the prose on that site is nothing short of euphoric at times. Hence I have been trying to use it strictly as a first-party source, leaving anything in regard of notability, impact and success of the band to third-party sources. I hope article reflects these aspirations.

Also, the sound samples have been taken down for the time being. Finding sources for a style section might not be impossible, but given the band's origin, it could be trickier than with others, so I'd rather leave that for later and then re-upload the samples if need be. Another editor also suggested to work the samples into the History section – what's you opinion on that? – Cyrus XIII (talk) 22:45, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, since Crush 40 might be even less known that X Japan, a style section for the latter should also be feasible. And the article probably needs it anyway, if it is ever to get to FA level someday. In other news, I've added collapsible track lists and smaller cover images to the Crush 40 article, as I have come to find a space-saving approach to be rather useful when embedding multiple album track lists and infoboxes in a longer article. But feel free to revert (or remove the "collapsed" option from the templates) if you disagree. – Cyrus XIII (talk) 11:31, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, those two single-disc track lists probably don't really blow up the article all that much (four-disc RPG scores, now that would be a different story) and with the "collapsed = yes" line removed, you still get a nicer list formatting. I left a message at Talk:X Japan; hopefully, Wednesday isn't asking too much. I might just get around to writing that section tonight, but I'll be busy with off-Wiki stuff tomorrow and Monday. – Cyrus XIII (talk) 15:23, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chaos Emeralds

Judging from TTN's discussion with you, I figure I could help out with sources. Alright, the concept of the Chaos Emeralds and Super Transformation in general was inspired by East-Asian culture, specifically the Dragon Ball Z series. 7 Chaos Emeralds=Dragon Balls, and Super Transformation is Sega's nod to the Super Saiyan transformation in the same series. Hope that's enough for Chaos Emeralds and Super Transformation. – ZeroGiga (Contact) 14:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to put in thanks to you as well. When I was working on the Megadrive article I'd got it to the point where it was mostly done bar the technical specifications section. Now it's all been neatly tidied up and everything sorted out I'd just like to tell you you've done an awsome job. Crimsonfox (talk) 21:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
