The word callosity is generally reserved for describing the calluses found on the head of the three species of right whales

Hmmm, as a medical transcriptionist, I transcribe this word regularly in medical reports on human beings. I wouldn't be the first time, but is it possible this word is being used incorrectly in medical reports?

Yep, this article needs more explanation, sources, etc. The opening sentence "A callosity is another name for callus..." seems in error...or the article is in error.
