The word callosity is generally reserved for describing the calluses found on the head of the three species of right whales
Hmmm, as a medical transcriptionist, I transcribe this word regularly in medical reports on human beings. I wouldn't be the first time, but is it possible this word is being used incorrectly in medical reports?
- Yep, this article needs more explanation, sources, etc. The opening sentence "A callosity is another name for callus..." seems in error...or the article is in error.
