Jyongri

Jyongri (born August 30 1988 in Osaka) is a Japanese J-Pop singer of Korean ancestry currently signed with EMI. Her debut single "Possession / My All For You" was released December 13, 2006.

Jyongri attended Osaka International School, and is fluent in both English and Japanese. She began learning to play the piano at the age of eight. In 2004, when she was 15 years old, she attended a 5 week long summer program at the Berklee College of Music.

She released her second single, "Hop, Step, Jump!", on February 21, 2007. Her first album, Close to Fantasy, was released on March 21, 2007.

On 6th April 2007, Square-Enix announced that Jyongri sung the theme song, "Lullaby For You", for the Nintendo DS game "It's a Wonderful World". The single was released on July 25, 2007 and charted #12 on Oricon Weekly charts.[1]

Jyongri is currently a student in Waseda University, School Of International Liberal Studies, along with many famous celebrities around the world.

First track of Jyongri's 4th single, Kissing Me, is a tie-up song for 7 different TV shows (6 of which are ending themes), which are broadcasted on 4 different television broadcasts (Iwate Menkoi TV, TV Kanagawa, NTV, and TV Asahi). While the c/w of that single, You're The One, is also a tie-up song for a show broadcasted by TBS.
