Binnish (Arabic: بنش) is a Syrian city administratively belonging to Idlib Governorate. Binnish has an altitude of 351 meters and a population of 34,831.

35°56′N 36°43′E / 35.933°N 36.717°E / 35.933; 36.717The city is situated on a hill; the thing that gives it a spectacular view.The word "Binnish" derives from the Aramaic language which possibly means "child of man".The city is famous for olive, vine and fig trees besides its varied crops of all kinds. It has a big old mosque right at the centre which dates back to the Mamluk period (1250-1517) before the Ottomans. It has mild weather and hospitable people. Generally speaking, the people there are from all walks of life. The illiteracy rate is low compared to how it was three decades ago.
