Vincent William Cross (born August 22nd 1971, Dublin Ireland) is an Irish-Australian musician,teacher,writer based in New York City. He performs original songs in the bluegrass tradition and plays guitar and mandolin. He is a lead singer and tenor singer and has been writing and performing since he was 17years old.

In the early 1990's based in London he performed with his bluegrass band The Hairy Lizards. Moving back to Ireland in the Mid-90's he was involved in the burgeoning singer-songwriter scene in Dublin; performing and sharing the stage with Media:Paddy Casey, Damian Rice, and Glen Hansard to name a few.

His relocation to New York City to settle with his wife rekindled his love affair with bluegrass music which he had stopped playing in the mid-1990’s. He now performs all over NYC in many venues that cater for the growing interest in honest roots music such as Banjo Jim's, Freddie’s Backroom etc..

He has been fortunate in NYC to be at the center of a growing interest in American Roots Music and recently performed for the Legendary Odetta at her Tribute night in East Village NYC. Performing bluegrass music for a small enthusiastic audience concisting of: Odetta, Donn Alan "D. A." Pennebaker, Wavy Gravy etc...

He has been recorded on two limited releases: Inundation, and " " both of which were compilations of up and coming singer-songer writers from around the world including: Ron Sexsmith, Hot House Flowers, etc...

Also, he has released two home produced EP's entitled; Vincent Cross (2001) Vincent Cross & Good Company, (2006. He is presently recording a album for release in 2008.
