The Ichogil canal or BRB canal, was a major position in the 1965 Indo-Pak War.
the indians objective to attack the canal was to cross the IB "international border".
This was where Maj. Raja Aziz Bhatti a recipetant of the highest millitary award The Nishan-E-Haider. The canal was blopwn up by pakistani troops before reatreating.
