Charmmy disgust

Personally, i think the design of such a pet for Hello Kitty is extremely disgusting. It seems to be suggesting a being can keep another being of its kind as a pet. If such sumliminal ideology goes on unquestioned, ... i don't know how to finish this sentence. Without being accused of censorship, i hope a certain level of morality is maintain in today's world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.102.160.239 (talkcontribs)

Amen. The savages... Just when a person can smile and have a warm feeling in the heart that at least Hello Kitty is still with us... those bastards... --DanielCD 14:47, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

In response to the above comments, I'm vaguely reminded of a steakhouse I saw from the highway once, whose logo consisted of a smiling bipedal cow who was wearing an apron and standing in front of a barbecue. It became more creepy the more I thought about it. --Saforrest 02:02, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

RE: owning one's own kind. Well, there's a precedent for this: wasn't Pluto Goofy's dog in all those Disney cartoons? I don't think the makers of the Hello Kitty line intend to subliminally suggest that slavery is okay. Instead, they seem to know that people respond to anthropomorphized animals (especially if they look like small children) and small children like to own cute pets.

Maybe they should've given her a dog?--Jfulbright 17:31, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Article quality

Okay folks, surely the article can be improved. It's all over the place. How about instead of debating whether or not Charmmy Kitty should exist, let's work on improving the article, please? -Etoile 04:52, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Rip-off

Charmmy Kitty seems to look almost exactly like Hello Kitty, except that the shape of her more "cat-like" features mysteriously bear a close resemblance to Marie from Disney's Aristocats. Could it be Sanrio wanted to ride the Aristocats wave and pretend that it had made this "brand new character" when it was really a rip off Marie, the female white kitten in Disney's Aristocats?222.151.236.116 (talk) 05:33, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
