Fantasy Black Channel is the debut album by Castle Donington fourpiece Late of the Pier, to be released on Parlophone Records.

In May 2008 the band announced the album's title via a Myspace bulletin, and also revealed it would be released in August 2008. The album is preceded by the re-release of "Space And The Woods", as a double A-side with new song "Focker".

Recording

The album was recorded in early 2008 with Erol Alkan reprising production duties, having already produced Late Of The Pier on their single Bathroom Gurgle, released in late 2007.

Late Of The Pier took a break from recording in February to embark on a headlining UK tour, previewing some new material.

Tracklisting

Although no tracklisting has been confirmed, it seems likely that the album will contain the singles "Bathroom Gurgle", "The Bears Are Coming", "Space And The Woods", and "Focker".

The band also posted a re-recorded version of "A Heartbeat, A Flicker, A Line" on their myspace, confirming that the song was part of the album's recording sessions.

In addition to this, on their latest UK tour Late Of The Pier have been opening their set with "Broken", a fan favourite, and it is presumed that this song will make it onto the band's debut.
