Katherine Doherty

Katherine Leigh Doherty is 13 years old and recently performed in the Broadway cast of "Mary Poppins" as Jane Banks. She's performed since she was a young child in various theatre organizations. Her first professional show in is Irving Berlin's "White Christmas". She has also played the lead in the Regis College production of "Still Life with Iris" in the Spring of 2006. Kathrine is from Dover, Massachusetts. Katherine regularly attends the summer camp Stagedoor Manor for aspiring performing artists. Katherine finished a Dover-Sherborn Middle School production of Guys and Dolls. She starred as Sarah Brown, the missionary in the production.

Katherine also recently starred as Annie in the musical "Annie", with Open Fields theater group. {her favorite theater program so far}

Katherine has been in a lot of community theatre plays, such as The Secret Garden, where she starred as Mary Lennox and received a Best Child Actor EMACT Award, The Sound of Music, Sara Crewe: A Little Princess, and she has sung The National Anthem and God Bless America at Fenway Park in Boston.

She will be performing as Lily in "Lily's Purple Plastic Purse" this Spring at the Wheelock Family Theatere in Boston, MA [[Category:
