Daphne High School
Daphne High School is a secondary school located in Daphne, Alabama. The school, which serves grades 9-12, is a part of the Baldwin County Public Schools district. Students at the school live in the city of Daphne and its surrounding unincorporated areas and the city of Loxley. Daphne High School's mascot is the Trojan.
Athletics
Daphne has a successful high school football program. Since 2000 DHS has compiled an overall record of 91-18. Having appeared in four of the last seven 6A State Championship games (2000,2001,2003,2005) winning it all in 2001 with a 15-0 record. In addition to that, the Trojans have won six 6A Region 2 titles in the last seven years (2000,2001,2003-2006). In 2007, the team compiled a 11-2 record placing second in Region 2, advancing to the 6A State Quarterfinals .[1] The cross country team began with the start of the school in 1989. The Trojans have won their section title 8 times, and have placed a personal best of 5th place in state. To go along an outstanding baseball program that was started by Llyod Skoda. The Trojans won the 4A and 5A state titles in 1992 and 1993. Mike Power then took over in 1999 coming close to winning a 6A state title in 2000 which was lost in the state finals. Power then lead his Trojans to win the 6A title back to back in 2001 and 2002.[citation needed]
