Mighty Putty is a substance that resembles clay and is intended for use as a repair epoxy. It is made up of a hardener substance (dark green in the outside,) and a base substance (light gray on the inside). It is used by 'kneading' the two layers into each other, causing a chemical reaction similar to that of Bondo. This chemical reaction causes an exothermic reaction, which in turn causes the materials to harden. It's a pre-portioned epoxy whose maker claims it can support up to 350 pounds[citation needed] and can be applied to almost any surface just by molding it. It is kneaded to activate and "turns from green to white to show its ready to hold on tight."[citation needed] It doesn't work though. I tried.

It is advertised on television in the form of an infomercial, hosted by by Billy Mays. In Mays' advertisement for Mighty Putty, the most famous reference is the showing of Mighty Putty connected to a wire and pulling an 80,000 pound tractor trailer truck[1].
