The Piano Concerto in F sharp minor, Op. 20, is an early composition by Alexander Scriabin(1872-1915), and is the only concerto he wrote. It was composed 1896 Being an early work, it is very lyrical and full of many glorious and idyllic melodies. The concerto imposes great technical difficulties on the pianist, such as large and rapid arpeggios, and large chords. The work is one of the least performed concertos on piano repertoire.

The work consists of three movements.

  1. Allegro
  2. Andante
  3. Allegro moderato

A typical performance usually lasts about 28 minutes.
