Moore High School is a three-year comprehensive high school located in Moore, Oklahoma, a suburb south of Oklahoma City. Moore High School is one of the largest high schools in the state with a population of 2,040. The student body includes residents of South Oklahoma City as well as the city of Moore. Moore is one of two high schools in the Moore Public School District, the third largest district in the state. Moore High School is classified as a 6A school. Moore-Norman Technology Vocational-Technical Center courses are offered either a.m. or p.m. to eleventh and twelfth graders through application. Transportation is provided.

Moore is accredited by the North Central Association, the Oklahoma State Department of Education, the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Association, and High Schools That Work. Accredited classes are provided for the educable mentally handicapped, trainable mentally handicapped, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, hearing imparied, and homebound students. Internet courses and an alternative high school are also available as needed.[1]

History

Started around the turn of the of the century, Moore High School has served the people of Moore, Oklahoma and the surrounding area since its establishment. The present campus was opened in 1968 and is set on a fifty-acre site. Moore High School was the original and only high school in Moore until 1988 when the sister school of Westmoore opened.
