Alsager Town F.C. are a football club, based at Wood Park in Alsager, Cheshire, England. They are currently members of the North West Counties League Division One.

Alsager AFC was formed in 1965, from the merger of Alsager Institute and Alsager United, and the current ground was acquired in 1967. Starting off playing in the Crewe League, Alsager soon applied for promotion to the Mid Cheshire League in the early 1970s. Upon improving their ground's facilities their application was accepted and the club remained in this league until the 1985-86 season. Despite finishing the season as runners-up Alsager AFC were forced out of business for year due to lack of funds associated with poor support.

After two seasons in the Crewe League Premier Division, Alsager regained entry to the Mid Cheshire League, in its 2nd division, in 1991-92. After gaining promotion, Alsager were successful enough on the pitch to be able to apply for promotion to the North West Counties League for the 1999-00 season. The necessary ground and league position and ground criteria were fulfilled, and Alsager were accepted for promotion.

After the 2000-01 season it was decided to change the club name to Alsager Town FC, which also coincided with the addition of floodlights to The Town Ground. After finishing in second place in the Second Division, promotion into the First Division was achieved.

Season 2005-06 saw Alsager finish in third place and thus earn promotion into the Northern Premier League Division One.

The 2007-08 season saw a new ownership of Alsager Town FC which saw local businessman Chris Ansell and ex-player Richard Mitchell team up to take over the club and form Alsager Town Football Club Limited.

Alsager Town FC were relegated for the first time in their history by the Northern Premier League owing to FA ground grading requirements. Ansell and Mitchell consequently departed from the club, leaving it with an uncertain future. Former chairman Peter Clegg returned to the club to re-take the helm, appointing former Witton Albion reserves coach, Neil Gill as manager.
