Ruyan Group (Holdings) Limited (Simplified Chinese:如烟集团有限公司;Traditional Chinese: 如煙集團有限公司;Pinyin: rúyān Jítuán Yǒuxiàn Gōngsī. SEHK: 329) is engaged in the R&D, operation and global marketing of patented products and specializes in the development of consumer bioelectronics, including electronic ultra-sound devices, biopharmaceuticals, and related chemical solutions. It owns the independent intellectual property for several high-end patented products.Ruyan is the original inventor of the e-cigarette and has registered 10 patents around the world and it was deemed one of the best 10 business ideas of 2007 by Business 2.0 Magazine in August, 2007 [1]

  • 2004 May-The 1st Expert Forum for WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control was organized by Ruyan. Dr. Henk Bekedam, the WHO Representative in China, and Ms Judy McCain, the director of Asia Anti-smoking resrech Center attended and gave positive feedback to the creation of Ruyan products.
  • 2004 August-Ruyan organized the Ruyan Cup Bridget Game in memory of the 100TH anniversary of Chairman Mao in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing
  • 2004 October-Ruyan attended the sixth China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen and started to expand sales to South China
  • 2005 May-The strategic alliance established between Ruyan and CCTV home shopping on May 28th, 2005, the World No-Tobacco Day, has been a benchmark in our national sales development.
  • 2005 October-Endorsed by the Ministry of Commerce and China General Technology Group, Ruyan attended in the 98th Canton Fair. A meeting with Japanese Tobacco took place with the attendance of Mr. Chang Yi Fan, the tobacco control expert in China and Mr. Liu Der Bin, the consultant of China General Technology Group.
  • 2005 December-Ruyan won a special award for Social Responsibility & Product Innovation among the Top 100 Growing business in China, selected by The Contemporary Manager Magazine, All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce and the Capital University of Economics and Business
  • 2006 April-Ruyan’s first move into international market – the product launch event in Vienna, Austria, April 2nd, 2006
  • 2006 May-Ruyan launched the National popular Science education campaign with the All-China Women Federation in The Great Hall of the People in Beijing, May 30th, 2006
  • 2006 July-Ruyan attended the national seminar organized by the Research Foundation of smoking-related disease control & prevention.
  • 2006 September-Ruyan visited Germany government offices to present the product innovation
  • 2006 November-Ruyan won a special award for Philanthropy & Innovation among the Top 100 Growing business in China, selected by The Contemporary Manager Magazine, All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce and the Capital University of Economics and Business
  • 2006 December-Ruyan presented electronic cigarette in the 2006 Annual Conference of foreign ambassadors & representatives in Beijing and received very positive comments from the product presentation and trial.
  • 2007 March-Ruyan attended The Chinese National Innovation Exhibition in Moscow, 26th March, 2007 and was visited by the Chairman Hu of China and President Vladimir Putin of Russian
  • 2007 September-Ruyan organized a national product launch party in Istanbul, 6th September, 2007 and was interviewed by the Turkish FOX TV morning news
  • 2007 October-Ruyan attended in the 2007 Canton Fair and received more than 1,000 international visitors.
