Shawn Willis Riggans was born July 25, 1980 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Riggans attended Indian River Community College in Ft. Pierce, Fla...Played ball at St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fla.) where he did not start one game. Riggans is a member of the Tampa Bay Rays and is the back up catcher. He made his first MLB debut for the once "Tampa Bay Devil Rays," on September 5, 2006.
