Madonna albums discography

Hi, please don't add a user profile from Amazon as a source for record sales. See Wikipedia:Reliable sources before changing figures. Thanks, Spellcast (talk) 11:14, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't add a user profile as a source. Again, see WP:RS. Thanks, Spellcast (talk) 10:06, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Madonna Albums Discography

Please provide a website that actually contains all the sales needed. Please include only one site so that the sales will be neat and consistent. The link you currently provided (http://madonna.com/music/?v=aa&a=1) does not include the necessary information that is needed for worldwide sales. I would suggest 2 websites that have all the sales of all of her albums. They are:

Also, some of the most official sources in the world have said Madonna sold over 200 million albums. [3][4] The totals for my first source is 185.2 million. The totals for my seconds source is 184 million. This means that some of her album sales are too low. However, since these are the two most qualified sources I found. I will choose between them. In the end, I chose to use my first one because it is more consistent with the other scraps we found. Also, I do not think the sales for Evita (6.5 million) and GHV2 (5.5 million) are that accurate. And that will be the sales that I will be editing it to. If you find a better or more reliable source, then we can change it. Please notify me so I will know as well. Thank you. Hi, Thanks for your message. As I told you many times fans websites are not official sources, even worldwidealbums.net is consider spam by Wikipedia, I have some fans website and sales are very similar to yours, http://www.world4madonna.com/charts/ sales are not to different. In http://www.amazon.co.uk/Top-Biggest-Selling-Madonna-Albums/lm/37BXBHN8JKB68 sales are a bit lower but those are until 2004, them is normal to have more now, I agree with your sales but in the case of Confessions on a Dance Floor I am sure they are not 12 million, I already put a reference from Warner Bros. Records and they said that sales are over 8 million here the link, http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release.do?id=849268 , you can read the last paragraph and you will see what I said, this is official source, in United world chart is 7.5 million, http://www.mediatraffic.de/top-album-achievements.htm , but that is while the album was in the top 40, we have to admit that 12 million is to much if we count how low are sales the last 3 years.--Albes29 (talk) 10:04, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. To clear up any confusion, I was trying to inflate Madonna's album sales so that they add up to 200 million before the release of COADF. I realize that it is wrong now, so I will change it back to what I think is a pretty reliable fan site. It is from beautifulmadonna.com. Since many sources have said that she sold 200 million, this one is the closest. Except for AL, which sold 5 million, not 6.5 as the site states. Erotica sold 6.5 million, not 5.5, also. SOrry for my recent mistakes.
