Arabistan was the name of a de-facto autonomous arab emirate in the area of the modern Khuzestan Province of iran, that existed up until 1925[1], When the emirate was dissolved by Reza Khan. in 1936 it was renamed Khuzestan.

Prior to dissolvement, 90% of the emirate's population spoke Iraqi Arabic. Following annexation, the official language became Persian.[2]

Today the name Arabistan is in use by some Ahwazi Arab successionist movements.
