Jason Friedberg is an American film writer, who was one of the writers of the original Scary Movie. He frequently works with Aaron Seltzer. He co-wrote Spy Hard, Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans, which he also directed. His next film, Disaster Movie, is slated for a August 29 2008 release. It a parody of The Day After Tomorrow amongst other Disaster movies and several blockbuster movies. While his films perform well at the box office, critical reception is generally overwhelmingly negative.
