James R. Kirk was a song/jingle writer in the early 1970's with PAMS and later joined TM Productions in the late 1970s.

Throughout his career, Kirk wrote jingles for such clients as The American Top 40 with Casey Kasem, WRKO (Boston), KMGC (Dallas), KVIL (Dallas), The Boy Scouts of America, Coca-Cola, KJR (Seattle), WFAA-TV (Dallas) and countless others.
