Inflation (disambiguation)

Inflate can refer to:

  • Inflation, is a rise in the general level of prices of goods and services over time.
  • Inflation meaning simply a price increase is used to refer to a rise in the price of some specific set of goods or services, as in "commodities inflation",[1][2] "food inflation",[3] or "house price inflation"[4]. The first two meanings of "inflation" are generally used side by side in the same article about inflation being a rise in the general level of prices. This adds to the general confusion to what inflation - which destroys the value of our money - really is.
  • Cosmic inflation, the theory relating to the expansion of the universe.
  • Inflatable, anything designed to expand with the insertion of air
  • INFLATE, the algorithm that reverses DEFLATE compression.
