Andrey Ponochevny (born in Minsk, 1977) is a Belarussian pianist. He gratuated at the Belarussian State Academy of Music in 2001, and soon after was awarded a Bronze Medal at the XIII Tchaikovsky competition. Ponochevny, who had settled in the American scene after he won the William Kapell competition, has since performed throughout Europe too. He resides in Texas since 2004. [1]
