Many of these works are collections or more complex works that are less easy to write an abstract for. For the rest of the scholarly works on Tolkien from this time period, go here. Reviews are indicated, where available, which may provide more information about the works listed here. Most of the non-scholarly works were removed from these lists, but some, along with some reception articles, may have remained due to insufficient information to prune them out. Works from 2006-2007 are also included here, since they were not concisely summarized in Tolkien Studies Year in Review, but were included in the journals as book reviews.
