The Autonomous University of Chapingo (in Spanish: Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo) is a Mexican public university located in Chapingo, State of Mexico.
History
The University was founded on 22 February 1854 as Escuela Nacional de Agricultura (National School of Agriculture) at the Convent of San Jacinto in Mexico City.[1] On 20 November 1923 it moved to its current location at the Ex hacienda Chapingo,[1] a former estate owned by Manuel González, former president of Mexico.
