PC Tools (Founded in 2003 [1]), formerly known as WinGuides.com, develops and distributes security and optimization software for the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X platforms.

Acquisition by Symantec

On August 18, 2008 Symantec announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PC Tools, but PC Tools will maintain separate operations[2].
