Alex Kelly, played by Olivia Wilde, is a fictional character from the second season of the FOX television series The O.C.. She is bisexual and dated both Seth Cohen and Marissa Cooper.

Alex appears in the series at the Bait Shop, when Seth needs tickets to The Walkmen show for Summer and Zach, in an attempt at friendship. Alex was kicked out of three high schools, and works at the Bait Shop as a bartender. Seth ends up working under Alex and the two briefly have a relationship. Seth later learns of her bisexuality and ends the relationship. She soon afterward dates Marissa. Marissa moves out of her mother's home, shortly after giving her the news that Alex is her girlfriend, and moves in with Alex. Marissa falls back in love with Ryan Atwood, though, so she and Alex break up, leaving Alex devastated.

After the two girls break up, Marissa moves back to live with her mother and Alex decides to go back home and go back to school, Alex appeared in 13 episodes total.

Creator Josh Schwartz described Alex as "the bad girl who runs the Bait Shop, which is the new club the kids are going to be hanging out at where all these bands will be performing at. She's our "Nat" (Beverly Hills 90210), if you will."
