Arena District
The Arena District is a 75 acre mixed-use urban infill, master planned development located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. This burgeoning neighborhood features a variety of restaurants, premier office space, exciting entertainment venues and residential opportunities.
Acres of park and plaza areas provide an abundance of open space. The district surrounds the Nationwide Arena, home to Ohio's only NHL team, the Columbus Blue Jackets. Together, the Nationwide Arena and the Arena District provide an unparalleled business and entertainment venue attracting a number of tenants and visitors from across the country.
The Arena District is developed, managed and marketed by Nationwide Realty Investors, the real estate development affiliate of Nationwide, a Fortune 100 company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Nationwide's leadership in the project makes the Arena District and Nationwide Arena one of the largest privately-financed urban redevelopment projects in the nation.
Before Nationwide's involvement, in the late 1990s, the area was home to a closed state penitentiary, surface parking lots and empty warehouses.
The Arena District is now seamlessly connected to other thriving city neighborhoods. The Greater Columbus Convention Center, North Market, The Short North are all within walking distance.
