C. Matthew McMahon (born February 1) in Beverly, Massachusetts is a Reformed theologian, author, television producer, publisher, and founder of the website, A Puritan's Mind and the internet forum, Puritan Board. He currently resides in Florida.

Education

McMahon attended Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, FL on a full scholarship where he graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor's degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry, minoring in Greek.

McMahon went on to earn a Masters of Theology with an emphasis in Reformed Theology from Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in Maitland, FL. While at RTS, McMahon was mentored by Dr. Roger Nicole and was taught by eminent theologians such as Dr. R.C. Sproul, Dr. Sinclair Ferguson, Dr. John Gerstner, and Dr. Richard Pratt. McMahon's master's dissertation was a study on the relationship of the Cross and the Attributes of God titled "The Continuum of God" with emphasis on atonement

Graduating magna cum laude, McMahon earned a Doctorate of Religion in Theology with an emphasis on Reformed Theology & History from Whitefield Theological Seminary in January, 2005. In March 2006, McMahon was awarded a Ph.D. from Whitefield Theological Seminary with the dissertation, "The Two Wills of God"

Career

Theological

McMahon began his career as a counselor to abused children for the state of Florida. After graduation from Southeast Bible, McMahon took his first church position in Orlando, FL as a youth pastor until 1994. McMahon was ordained to the ministry at the New Meadows Particular Baptist Church in Topsfield, MA until 1995 until moving to Georgia to take his first senior pastor position at the Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Wrens, GA. McMahon was dismissed from the pulpit at Mount Horeb where he then returned to Florida in 1996 where he was the Pastor of Celebration Particular Baptist Church in Plantation, FL. After graduation from Whitefield, McMahon was ordained into ministry in the Reformed Presbyterian General Assembly. McMahon is a member of Christ Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPCGA) in Coconut Creek, FL where he holds the title of Scholar in Residence.

McMahon currently holds an academic position at Whitefield Theological Seminary as a Research Professor of Church History.

Technical

McMahon took his first technical position as technical support at a time and billing software company in Hamilton, MA where he worked until 1995. After his move to Florida, McMahon was a support technician for an industrial software company in Sunrise, FL. He began his work as an independent producer of TV segments in 2001.
