Alexander Draper Wolff (born November 1, 1997[1] in Manhattan, New York) is an actor, drummer, and occasional singer-songwriter.

Career

Alex Wolff is best known for his starring role as himself in The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie and the TV series on Nickelodeon. The film and television show are comedically based on his and his older brother Nat Wolff's life and in the band of the same name, which they co-founded. He is the band's drummer, but he also writes and sings songs such as "That's How It Is," "I Could Be," "Three is Enough," "Changing," "Alien Clones","Why",and "Blueberry Cotton". He also had a short role in Fall Out Boy's video "The Take Over, The Breaks Over," playing a young Pete Wentz. Alex is known for his milk ads on the show; in the Naked Brothers Band Movie, his character passed out from drinking lemon-lime soda and took up milk instead. He learned how to play the drums by watching videos of Ringo Starr.

When asked how it was to work with his mother, Alex responded:[2] "It's good. It's better than working with anyone else. She's your mom; she's not an authority. You don't have to behave."

Personal life

He is the son of actress and screenwriter Polly Draper and jazz pianist and composer Michael Wolff and his older brother is singer-songwriter, keyboardist, and actor Nat Wolff. His family is culturally Jewish.[3] Alex got his middle name from his mother's maiden name of Draper.
