Casa Zimbabwe
Casa Zimbabwe, commonly referred to as CZ, is a student housing cooperative in Berkeley, California. It is part of the USCA co-op system.
With 124 residents, CZ is one of the largest co-ops in Berkeley (second only to Cloyne Court). Now that Le Chateau is closed, it also has a reputation as one of the most chaotic and dirtiest (also second only to Cloyne).
CZ is the only USCA house that was built as a co-op, rather than having been converted from an older structure. Currently, the USCA is planning a large-scale renovation and seismic retrofit for CZ.
