Shining Stars are a program introduced by Russ Berrie Inc. toy company in partnership with the International Star Registry. Russ Berrie's Shining Star Friends product line was introduced to market the program. Each Shining Star Friend includes a sealed tag containing a secret code which allows the purchaser to log into the Shining Stars website.
